  1. kb980408 certainly addresses reliability issues – by causing them.

    On both my home computer (Lenovo T400, Win7 pro 32-bit) and office computer (Lenovo D10, Win7 pro 64-bit) kb980408 seems to be the cause for some strange GUI behavoir.

    Aside from generally making the system act sluggish, a major annoyance has appeared that pops open the dreaded “Item not found” dialog box when moving or renaming folders. Clicking on “try again” completes the operation.

    Some forum reports claim the problem can be fixed by system restore/uninstalling kb980408. I’ve had no such luck, however.
