FYI, be sure to unmount any drive that so much as had a time machine backup folder in it.

I'm running Mac OSX 10.5.8, and have the MS Office 2004 11.5.5 update already installed. I have downloaded 11.5.6 from Autoupdate and directly from the MS web site, and done so several times each, but every time the update becomes “nonresponsive” and I have to Force Quit. What's up?
