I am facing the same issue… I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the update manually, several times! I also found out that when the alert comes on, it says the update would use 7.4 MB but on the download it says 8.4 MB!

I am assuming the discrepancy is a code issue(?)

Several months ago I installed the microsoft office 2007, every since then i have had issues uploading any updates that go along with the program. What is the issue. Tonight I manually uploaded kb982331,,,and it is still showing in the automatic update that it needs to be uploaded, but when i try it gives me an error code 646….and none of the resolutions i have found online tell me how to fix my problem,,can you help.
